Geisinger’s Cancer Institute is seeking BC/BE Hematology/Oncology Physicians to join our growing team in Northeastern Pennsylvania. We currently have full-time opportunities available at both Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and the newly opened Geisinger Cancer Center Dickson City, offering physicians the opportunity to practice high-quality community oncology while benefiting from the resources of an integrated, physician-led health system.

  • Practice comprehensive hematology and medical oncology with an established referral network and strong patient demand.
  • Collaborate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery, pathology, pharmacy, nursing, APPs, and care coordination teams.

  • Utilize Epic EMR and integrated oncology pathways to support coordinated, patient-centered care.

Practice Locations

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (Wilkes-Barre, PA)

Located in Wilkes-Barre, the Frank M. & Dorothea Henry Cancer Center serves as a regional destination for cancer care and offers:

  • Established multidisciplinary oncology program
  • 48-chair infusion center with 12 private treatment rooms
  • Strong physician and APP support team
  • Access to advanced radiation oncology services and specialty cancer programs

Geisinger Cancer Center Dickson City (Dickson City/Scranton, PA)

Recently opened in June 2025, the new 61,000-square-foot Geisinger Cancer Center Dickson City was designed to bring comprehensive cancer services closer to home for patients across Lackawanna County and the surrounding communities. The state-of-the-art facility features:

  • Modern hematology and oncology clinic space
  • Dedicated radiation oncology services
  • 22 infusion bays overlooking a healing garden
  • Multidisciplinary cancer care and supportive services under one roof
