About The Role
We are looking for a highly specialised Clinical Physiologist or Clinical Scientist with expertise in Respiratory, Sleep and Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) services to join our Cardiorespiratory Team within Manx Care on the Isle of Man.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the delivery and development of specialist respiratory and sleep physiology services for the Island's population. Working within a supportive and progressive department, you will use your advanced clinical knowledge to perform, analyse, interpret and report a wide range of complex diagnostic investigations while helping to shape the future of the service.
As part of our specialist Cardiorespiratory Team, you will work closely with consultants, nursing colleagues and fellow clinical physiologists to provide expert clinical support across respiratory, sleep and ventilation services. You will use your specialist knowledge to advise on test selection, interpret diagnostic findings and contribute to clinical decision-making, ensuring patients receive safe, effective and high-quality care.
Alongside your clinical responsibilities, you will support service development initiatives, participate in audit and research activities, and act as a valuable source of expertise for colleagues across the wider healthcare system. You will also have opportunities to mentor and train junior staff, helping to develop the next generation of clinical physiologists.
The post is offered at Band 7 for applicants who hold professional registration as a Clinical Scientist or Clinical Physiologist with AHCS, HCPC, RCCP or an equivalent professional body, together with specialist training and experience in respiratory, sleep and NIV services.
