The Opportunity Peabody is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at Centurion Mine, located approximately 160 kilometres west of Mackay. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide high-quality generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle while partnering with operational leaders to drive people outcomes, build leadership capability and support a safe, productive and values-driven workplace. This is a key role focused on employee relations, workforce engagement, compliance and continuous improvement across the operation. Your Impact Provide accurate and timely advice on enterprise agreement interpretation, HR policies, procedures and employment matters. Coach and support leaders to effectively manage people issues and develop capability in best practice HR, ER and IR processes. Assist with workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary matters, ensuring compliance and procedural fairness. Partner with operational leaders to drive employee engagement, workforce culture and communication initiatives. Maintain HR data integrity, reporting and employee records to support business and compliance requirements. Collaborate with Payroll, Talent Acquisition and site stakeholders to deliver seamless people processes. Support workforce planning, employee lifecycle activities and organisational initiatives across the operation. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within HR systems, processes and compliance frameworks. Promote and role model a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace aligned with Peabody values. Contribute to the achievement of business objectives through effective stakeholder engagement and people-focused solutions. About You You are a proactive HR professional with strong employee relations capability, excellent stakeholder management skills and a passion for supporting leaders and employees in a dynamic operational environment. To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline. Experience in a generalist HR role within mining, resources, heavy industry or civil construction environments. Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations and enterprise agreement interpretation. Demonstrated experience coaching and influencing leaders across a broad range of people matters. Experience managing workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes. Strong organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
