Improvement Technician

Job Purpose: Design, develop, test, and improve manufacturing machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to enhance production efficiency and product quality. Key Responsibilities: Plan and implement projects to improve production methods and equipment performance. Design, develop, and test machinery and tools. Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues. Modify or create special tools and fixtures as needed. Conduct cost assessments and validations for projects. Support continuous improvement initiatives in the plant. Provide technical assistance for production equipment. Inspect and assess parts for dimensional accuracy. Adjust, test, and operate equipment for optimal performance. Use metalworking tools (lathe, drill press, mill, grinder) for part fabrication and repair. Initiate purchase orders for necessary parts and machines. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred OR 10+ years of relevant experience. Strong ability to read blueprints and technical documents. Experience with PLC and CNC programming and troubleshooting. Knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding (stick, MIG, TIG). Understanding of machine control circuits and schematics. Familiarity with plumbing, pumps, and various piping materials. Ability to work in a team and contribute to process improvements. Additional Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. Comfortable working around moving machinery in a moderate-to-loud environment.
