Take on a hands-on millwright position in a unionized industrial plant environment. This opportunity pays $50.20 per hour, and relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates moving to Kenora.

The Role

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the Millwright will maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical equipment and systems to support safe and reliable plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and components
• Complete preventive and routine maintenance on plant machinery
• Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment failures
• Maintain pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and related industrial equipment
• Use SAP for work orders and materials management
• Perform basic welding and fabrication
• Coordinate contractor activities when required
• Complete assigned work safely and on schedule
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized and safe
• Follow all plant safety procedures and operating requirements

Requirements

• Mechanical trade qualification in an applicable discipline
• Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems and mechanical equipment
• Preventive maintenance and equipment-repair experience
• Basic welding and fabrication capabilities
• Experience using SAP for maintenance work orders
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other computer systems
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
