About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Information Security Engineer to join a dynamic team in an innovative and fast-evolving organization. This role offers the chance to contribute to the development and deployment of cutting-edge information security services and solutions, focusing on enhancing satellite ground segments, cloud deployments, and Big Data services.
In this position, you will:
Act as the primary expert for information security incident detection and response.
Lead the vulnerability management lifecycle, optimising existing protection, detection, and response solutions.
Supervise and coordinate the implementation of innovative security solutions, working closely with the incident response team and key stakeholders to drive the evolution of the Security Operations Centre.
Investigate and evaluate emerging trends and technologies, including Machine Learning, and integrate them into the organization’s security operations.
Maintain relationships with specialist forums and groups related to information security.

Requirements
Key Qualifications:
A university degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, IT Security) or several years of direct relevant experience.
Experience with security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management in operational environments.
Hands-on experience with implementing and operating Security Operations Centres, including Threat Intelligence and Threat Hunting capabilities.
Strong analytical skills with a proactive, methodical, and organized approach to work.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
Relevant certifications in information security are advantageous but not required.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with High Availability Environments (24/7).
Familiarity with patching prioritization, remediation of zero-day vulnerabilities, and security operations in large-scale production environments.
Ability to work in a shift pattern and be on-site most of the time (teleworking possible for up to 4 days every two weeks).
Experience in managing incident detection and response within an Information Security Management System.
Knowledge of Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response technologies, Security Information and Event Management, or Extended Detection and Response technologies.
