Inpatient Cardiologist – Cardiac Hospitalist | Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Required

Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiologist who has completed a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship to join our established team as a full-time Cardiac Hospitalist in Lafayette, Louisiana.

IMPORTANT: This is a Cardiology Position

This opportunity is specifically designed for a fellowship-trained cardiologist who wants to practice 100% inpatient cardiology.

• Cardiovascular Disease fellowship completion is required

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease

• 100% inpatient cardiac hospitalist responsibilities

• No outpatient clinic responsibilities

• This is not a general Internal Medicine Hospitalist position

• Ideal for a cardiologist seeking a dedicated inpatient role utilizing their general/non-invasive cardiology expertise

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a fellowship-trained cardiologist who:

• Has completed a U.S. Cardiovascular Disease fellowship

• Is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease

• Has experience in general/non-invasive cardiology

• Is specifically interested in practicing full-time inpatient cardiology

• Wants a position with 100% inpatient responsibilities and no outpatient clinic

• Enjoys managing hospitalized cardiovascular patients and collaborating with hospital-based teams

• Values clinical autonomy while having access to strong clinical and administrative support

• Is interested in joining an established cardiovascular organization with a strong reputation

• Is interested in long-term partnership and practice growth

• Has completed a U.S. residency program

• Is eligible for Louisiana medical licensure

• May need J-1 or H-1B visa sponsorship

Who This Position Is NOT For

This position is not intended for a physician who has completed only an Internal Medicine residency or a traditional Internal Medicine Hospitalist fellowship/training pathway.

Applicants must have completed a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
