Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050. You will troubleshoot instruments and devices, ensuring that instrument readings are accurate and properly documented. Demonstrate commitment to safety and Capstone’s Values in Action. Test and calibrate instruments for heat, pressure, volume, particle size, flow rates, and PH factors. Maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and test pneumatic, electric, electronic, and hydraulic instrumentation devices. Advise operations and maintenance departments on status, condition, and known issues of equipment that could affect/improve their ability to achieve production goals. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and initiative. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Required 3+ years instrumentation maintenance experience in a production environment Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals. Experience with OEM maintenance repair manuals. Able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English. Experience and knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance processes and practices Preferred Experience working in mining, oil & gas, or water treatment industries. SAP experience. All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical exam, drug and alcohol test, and background check. All positions require a pre-placement physical examination to ensure candidates are 'fit for duty’. Additional training and/or testing may be required.
