Project Overview: Expo 2030 Riyadh is a global platform where countries, organizations, and individuals will come together to collaborate. Under the theme “Foresight for Tomorrow,” the Expo promotes sustainable development, innovation, and transformative thinking. The event will be held from October 2030 to March 2031 and is expected to welcome over 40 million visits. The 6 km² Masterplan outlines a comprehensive framework for participation and infrastructure at the Expo. The exhibition space, totaling 491,100 m² GFA, can accommodate up to 197 participating countries and 29 international organizations. Working collaboratively with our customer, Expo 2030 Riyadh Company (ERC), Bechtel will manage the infrastructure program which comprises early works, utilities, and publicly accessible spaces like streets and parks. Our scope on the six-square-kilometer site will transition into a mixed-use legacy development to serve the community after the six-month event is over. The project’s master plan leverages international sustainability standards for urban afforestation, treated water, and energy sources. Job Summary: In this role, you will manage technical, systems, operational, and delivery interfaces. You will be responsible for identifying, documenting, coordinating, tracking, and resolving interfaces between consultants, contractors, operators, designers, authorities, and other stakeholders. The role will focus on ensuring effective integration between systems, infrastructure, operational requirements, construction activities, and stakeholder needs throughout the project lifecycle. Your efforts will support a coordinated transition from engineering and design into construction, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness. Major Responsibilities: Reports to the Senior Interface Manager. Responsible for managing assigned interfaces across mobility systems, transportation packages, infrastructure works, operational requirements, and construction activities. Identifies, documents, and maintains interface requirements between disciplines, projects, contractors, consultants, operators, and stakeholders. Coordinates interface activities between design teams, construction teams, operational stakeholders, and external parties. Supports the preparation, maintenance, and closure of Interface Registers, Interface Control Documents, and Responsibility Matrices. Tracks interface actions, dependencies, assumptions, constraints, and unresolved issues. Facilitates interface coordination meetings and supports issue resolution activities. Manages interfaces associated with mobility systems including transport technologies, fleet operations, depots, traffic management systems, operational facilities, communications systems, and supporting infrastructure. Supports integration activities between systems, infrastructure, operations, and construction work packages. Reviews design submissions, construction proposals, and technical deliverables from an interface management perspective. Supports operational readiness activities by ensuring operator requirements and operational interfaces are fully considered during project development. Identifies interface risks and supports mitigation planning. Escalates unresolved interface issues to the Senior Interface Manager. Prepares interface status reports, interface dashboards, and management updates. Supports testing, commissioning, transition, and handover activities. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline. 10+ years project delivery experience. 5+ years experience in interface management, systems integration, engineering coordination, infrastructure delivery, or related disciplines. Required Knowledge and Skills: Experience working on transportation, infrastructure, mobility, or major programme delivery environments. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder interfaces. Strong understanding of systems integration, operational requirements, engineering coordination, and project delivery processes. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
