About the Role As an Investment Accountant within the Global Investment Reporting (GIR) team, you will be at the heart of our investment accounting and reporting operations. Key Responsibilities Drive sub-ledger accuracy: Execute sub-ledger accounting tasks and reporting deliverables for various accounting valuations and legal entities Master the data landscape: Develop a thorough understanding of data flows, system architectures, and system interactions that impact accounting transactions, ensuring accurate processing throughout the accounting and reporting life cycle Collaborate across borders: Liaise with data providers and business analysts — both locally and internationally — to proactively communicate and resolve issues uncovered during the closing cycle Partner with key stakeholders: Facilitate strong collaboration with Group Functions including Asset Management, Tax, Risk, Treasury, and Group Finance to ensure reporting meets the needs of all stakeholders Uphold control standards: Understand and apply the control framework to meet all internal and external audit requirements Ensure data integrity: Perform reconciliation, substantiation and resolution of data quality errors across all investment products Contribute to team growth: Actively participate in team initiatives and projects, bringing energy and efficiency to every task About the Team Global Investment Reporting (GIR) is part of Group Finance and has ownership of sub-ledger accounting for investments, including all valuations and related reporting deliverables. We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: University Degree: University degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline Relevant work experience: Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in the area of investment accounting, investment reporting or investment operations Accounting or Reporting knowledge: firm understanding of multi-valuation accounting concepts including US GAAP, US Regulatory (Statutory), IFRS, and Tax Reporting These are additional nice to haves: Advanced Excel skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and analyze large data sets efficiently Data analytics tools: Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or similar data analytics platforms is a strong plus Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels Tech curiosity: A high level of interest in learning and adopting innovative technologies and tools to enhance analytical capabilities Detail orientation: Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies This role will be located in our Kansas City, MO office. Our company uses a hybrid work model requiring at least three days in the office each week, with the option to work onsite full-time if preferred. This position is not eligible for full-time telework, relocation assistance or visa sponsorship. The estimated base salary range for this position is $52,000 to $78,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
