Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced IT Platform Engineer with strong Python and Azure Cloud expertise to join our engineering team in Amsterdam.

The role covers the complete software development lifecycle — from planning and solution design to development, testing, CI/CD, and automated deployment.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy reliable Python solutions.
Build scalable cloud-based solutions using Azure.
Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
Apply clean code, SOLID principles, design patterns, and DDD.
Develop automated unit tests and maintain high code quality.
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and data governance practices.
Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams.
Troubleshoot technical challenges and continuously improve platform reliability.

Qualification & Experience

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
Strong Python development experience
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Software analysis, design, and architecture experience
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
Azure Storage
Access Management / Identity
Networking
Strong experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
Solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD
Experience with incremental software development practices
Strong knowledge of SOLID principles & Design Patterns
Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases
Understanding of Data Governance
Knowledge of Databricks Unity Catalog
Experience with pytest and mocking frameworks
Azure Cosmos DB experience is a plus
