IVY Reporter for the Programme "Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria–Serbia" Support cooperation between Bulgaria and Serbia. VOLUNTEER Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works is looking for an IVY volunteer! The volunteer will support the Programme “Interreg VI-A IPA Bulgaria–Serbia" is a cross-border cooperation programme aimed at strengthening territorial cohesion between Bulgaria and Serbia. The programme focuses on enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promoting integrated regional development, and improving disaster resilience. Key areas of intervention include technological modernisation, sustainable tourism, and joint actions for disaster risk prevention and response. The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities and tasks: support the communication team and project officers in preparing news items, social media posts, newsletters, and other materials showcasing project achievements and Programme activities; support in updating the website, creating visual or written content, and contributing to outreach events or online campaigns; promote the projects, summarize and share updates to stakeholders and (potential) project partners; compile success stories, capture photos, or record video testimonials; conduct and process surveys, interviews, or focus group discussions and draw statistical summaries. Other information: Financial support of: 34.60 euros per day (week-end and holidays included) . Location: Sofia, Bulgaria. Start and duration: September, for 6 months. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated interest in communication and some previous experience in communication-related activities. This may include creating content for websites or social media, contributing to student or local publications, photography, video production, writing articles or stories, conducting interviews, or supporting communication campaigns and events. They should be comfortable volunteering in an institutional environment and interacting with public authorities, project partners, and project beneficiaries. Strong written and verbal communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to adapt communication to different audiences are highly valued. Deadline for applications: 06 August. The amount provided allows them to live in similar conditions as the local population where they are volunteering, and ranges from 21.48 EUR to 92.96 EUR per day. Insurance IVY volunteers are fully covered with health, liability and accident insurance. AEBR arranges the policies for you for the entire duration of the experience, if needed. Contribution to travel costs Travel costs to relocate are covered by AEBR, based on lump sums according to the distance between the host organisation and your place of residence. The sum is allocated depending on the distance in km. Visa Volunteers are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate visa, residence permit, or any other authorization required to legally enter, reside, and carry out their volunteering activity in the hosting country. Once selected, volunteers are expected to complete all necessary administrative procedures, and submit the required documentation to the relevant authorities. For eligible volunteers relocating between countries participating in the IVY initiative, IVY will reimburse the costs associated with obtaining the required visa, and provide invitation letters and proof of financial means. However, the responsibility for identifying the correct visa, preparing the application, and completing the necessary formalities remains with the volunteer.
