Java Microservices Developer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Experience: 6-8 years.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Microservices Developer with strong expertise in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, and Microsoft Azure to join our engineering team in Amsterdam.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
• Develop robust and secure RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Build cloud-native applications and deploy services on Microsoft Azure.
• Design and implement scalable, resilient, and highly available distributed systems.
• Apply software engineering best practices including clean code, design patterns, SOLID principles, and code reviews.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot performance, integration, and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure applications meet security, performance, scalability, and maintainability standards.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21
• Deep expertise in Spring Boot
• Strong experience in Microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and distributed systems
• Experience designing and developing scalable and high-performance backend applications
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application development
• Experience with automated testing and software development best practices
