About the role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant with professional proficiency in French to join our Miami office. The successful candidate will receive training to manage a portfolio of companies operating in the U.S. across various sectors, with a significant number of French-speaking clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle bookkeeping for clients operating in multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting documentation.
• Process payroll and payroll-related filings when applicable.
• Support accountants with tax preparation and financial reporting.
• Communicate with IRS, state agencies, and other governmental entities as needed.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or recently graduated or currently pursuing a master's degree in accounting.
• Minimum of two years of experience in an accounting firm or bookkeeping in France or in the U.S.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and strong communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in French required due to regular communication with French-speaking clients.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English in a professional environment.
• Essential qualities: rigor, adaptability, discretion, dedication, and sense of responsibility.
