Southpaws is seeking a motivated Junior Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian to join our growing team in Malvern, Melbourne.

Working alongside a highly experienced specialist-led ECC department, you'll be supported by a Criticalist (DACVECC), Senior ECC Clinicians (MANZCVS), dedicated ECC Veterinarians, and an exceptional team of ICU and Emergency Nurses.

The Role:

This full-time position offers a rotating roster across day, swing and night shifts, including one-in-two weekends. You'll work alongside and be supported by experienced ECC clinicians while managing a varied emergency caseload and continuing to develop your emergency and critical care skills.

The Detail:

• Monthly ECC department meetings and weekly presentation mornings (with coffee) to foster peer-to-peer learning
• Inter-department collaboration with our specialist-led Surgery and Anaesthesia departments

About you:

• You hold a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
• Eligible for registration with the Victorian Veterinary Board
• You have strong clinical foundations and a genuine interest in developing your career in Emergency & Critical Care
• You may be coming from General Practice, an internship, or have previous emergency or after-hours experience
• Confidence working across a rotating roster including days, swings, nights and one-in-two weekends
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
• Experience with EzyVet and SmartFlow is an advantage, but not essential
