Rothe is seeking a Junior Metrology Technician to support our Calibration and Metrology operations at our Webster, Texas headquarters. Founded in 1967, Rothe is a mission-critical infrastructure and engineering company supporting federal agencies, commercial space, energy, and healthcare markets. Our ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited calibration laboratory serves NASA, commercial space, defense, energy, and healthcare customers. Rothe is hiring metrology technicians right now. Our Houston area calibration laboratory is expanding across every technician level, we review applications daily, we interview on a rolling basis, and we are ready to move quickly for qualified candidates. Job Description: The Junior Metrology Technician performs repairs, calibrations, and general housekeeping in Rothe's ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited Metrology Calibration Laboratory. This is the entry point of the laboratory's technician career path: the Junior Metrology Technician receives on the job training in Pressure and Torque calibration and builds an understanding of basic calibration principles in order to move to the Metrology Technician I position. The position reports to the Lab Manager. Functional Responsibilities: Performs repairs, calibrations, and general housekeeping Understands the objective of calibration and how to assess results Required to keep the Lab Manager informed of any equipment status changes that would affect its delivery Reports any problems or needed improvements to the Lab Manager Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the management system This is an Onsite role based in Webster, TX. Education and Experience: Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years' training or experience in a technical field. Reports to the Lab Manager. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 2 years' training or experience in a technical field No certifications required On the job training provided; receives training in Pressure and Torque to become proficient and understand basic calibration principles in order to move to the Metrology Technician I position Preferred Qualifications: ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification Hands-on experience with Pressure or Torque calibration Experience working to a documented quality management system Rothe is an equal opportunity employer.
