The Energy and Security Manager will sustain sales for existing customers and manage multiple End User and OEM accounts in a multistate region. This role focuses on maintaining customer success, building strong customer relationships, and identifying new sales opportunities with INFICON’s business objectives. By leveraging industry expertise, particularly in gas measurement using gas chromatography, the Key Account Manager will position INFICON as a trusted partner in enhancing operational efficiency and quality for oil and gas clients.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage sales plans to achieve sales goals within assigned accounts.
Identify growth opportunities for INFICON’s product portfolio in the energy sector, which includes Gas Chromatography (GC) along with other sensing technologies.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by addressing the specific needs of midstream oil and gas customers, appliance manufactures and other industrial accounts.
Provide technical guidance in collaboration with field application teams on the application of INFICON products to meet customer requirements.
Manage account activities, including preparing quotes, negotiating sales contracts, submitting forecasts, and creating key account plans and monthly reports.
Provide valuable feedback to Business Units regarding product introduction strategies, market trends, competitive analysis, and application requirements.
Support pricing adjustments, product recommendations, and updates to sales policies.
Collaborate with the Segment Manager and Strategic Account Director to input annual sales goals and refine strategic objectives for the sales territory.
Identify opportunities to improve sales processes efficiency.
Contribute to the development and execution of territory-specific sales and marketing plans.
Education in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics preferred but all relevant backgrounds will be considered.
3-5 years of account management experience selling, energy sector preferred.
A track record of establishing new customer connections.
A history of cultivating existing relationships to ensure prospective sales.
Skilled in conveying strategic plans with a deep understanding of key account stakeholders
Strong presentation skills and a solid grasp of our products and their potential applications.
Versed in software tools, encompassing CRM and MS Office applications.
Effective negotiation skills.
Must have the ability to work independently, travel to customer sites (up to 25% of the time), and possess strong customer engagement skills.
Total on target compensation: $81,250-$112,500
Your total cash compensation is structured for performance and growth, with earning potential that includes a base salary of $65,000-$90,000 in addition to a commission + profit sharing model for an additional 20% target of your total compensation. Additional benefits include an 8% 401k match, potential car and remote allowances, and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
