An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership for a motivated and enthusiastic Community Mental Health Nurse (Band 6) to join the North Aberdeenshire Community Mental Health Nursing Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract or secondment basis.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health conditions. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm
The Role
As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload and working collaboratively with individuals, their families, carers, and partner agencies to deliver effective, recovery-focused interventions.
You will undertake comprehensive mental health assessments, develop and review person-centred care plans, and demonstrate excellent clinical decision-making and risk assessment skills. The ability to work autonomously, whilst contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team, is essential.
As the role covers a wide geographical area across North Aberdeenshire, excellent organisational skills, self-motivation, and effective time management are key requirements.

- Be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration.
- Ideally have a minimum of two years' post-registration experience.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, assessment, and clinical skills.
- Have experience of working with individuals experiencing severe and enduring mental health conditions.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
