Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong Laundry Manager to oversee complex, high-capacity laundry operations within a prestigious ultra-luxury private hospitality environment in Saudi Arabia.
This is a senior and highly specialised operational leadership position. The role goes significantly beyond a conventional hotel Laundry Manager and requires proven experience managing large-scale, technically complex and/or multiple laundry operations and locations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for laundry production, technical operations, quality control, manpower, inventory, logistics and distribution, as well as the Shoe Care & Restoration Unit.
Key ResponsibilitiesLaundry Operations- Manage day-to-day operations across multiple laundry facilities or large-scale laundry operations.
- Oversee centralised and industrial-scale laundry production.
- Ensure efficient production, quality, turnaround times and service standards.
- Develop and implement SOPs, KPIs, productivity standards and operational procedures.
- Manage capacity planning, manpower planning, shift patterns and resource allocation.
- Maintain exceptional standards for luxury, delicate and high-value garments and textiles.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of commercial and industrial laundry machinery.
- Experience working with equipment from different manufacturers and brands.
- Understand different machinery configurations, operating systems, programmes and production capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of washing processes, finishing techniques, stain treatment and garment care.
- Strong technical knowledge of chemicals, dosing systems, wash formulas and temperatures.
- Ensure appropriate treatment methods are applied to different fabrics and materials.
- Minimise fabric damage, shrinkage, colour loss and garment deterioration.
- Extensive experience handling a wide range of fabrics and textiles, including delicate, luxury and high-value garments.
- Strong knowledge of fabric identification and appropriate treatment methods.
- Proven experience in guest laundry and premium garment care.
- Candidates whose experience is limited solely to bulk linen processing will not be considered sufficient.
- Lead and develop managers, supervisors and operational laundry teams.
- Establish staffing structures and productivity targets.
- Monitor employee performance and service quality.
- Provide training, coaching and operational guidance.
- Manage complex operations with strong leadership and accountability.
- Maintain consistent quality standards across all laundry operations.
- Control chemical consumption, utilities, operational costs and waste.
- Monitor production efficiency and resource utilisation.
- Manage inventory covering chemicals, consumables, operational supplies and spare requirements.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and accurate inventory controls.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance teams regarding machinery performance and breakdowns.
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers, suppliers and service providers.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs and spare-parts requirements.
- Monitor equipment performance and minimise operational downtime.
The Laundry Manager will also have substantial responsibility for post-production logistics and distribution.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning distribution between laundry facilities and multiple operational locations.
- Scheduling deliveries and vehicles.
- Coordinating laundry dispatch and receiving locations.
- Maintaining accurate handover and receiving controls.
- Tracking movement of processed laundry and garments.
- Ensuring the correct items reach the correct destination.
- Maintaining required delivery timelines.
- Preventing loss, misrouting, contamination or damage during transportation.
- Managing the operational team responsible for laundry transportation.
- Ensuring appropriate documentation and accountability throughout the distribution process.
The Laundry Manager will also oversee the Shoe Care & Restoration Unit, including:
- Service standards and operational procedures.
- Quality control and team performance.
- Materials and products used.
- Handling of luxury and high-value footwear.
- Appropriate cleaning, care and restoration procedures.
- Integration of the unit within the overall laundry operation.
- 8–10+ years of progressive professional laundry experience.
- 3–5+ years in a senior laundry management position.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, centralised, industrial or multiple-site laundry operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of high-capacity commercial and industrial laundry systems.
- Experience operating and managing different laundry machinery and equipment brands.
- Extensive knowledge of washing, finishing, stain treatment and garment care.
- Strong understanding of chemicals, dosing systems and wash formulas.
- Experience with luxury, delicate and high-value fabrics.
- Proven guest laundry and premium garment-care experience.
- Experience with manpower planning, capacity planning, shift management and resource allocation.
- Strong multi-site quality-control experience.
- Proven experience managing laundry logistics and vehicle-based distribution across multiple locations.
- Strong inventory and cost-control experience.
- Experience coordinating with Engineering, manufacturers, suppliers and service providers.
- Proven ability to manage managers, supervisors and large operational teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
