Is this job info correct?

About the Organisation Rely Recruitment has been exclusively engaged by a prominent, mission-driven, not-for-profit (NFP) social services organisation to find a seasoned Lead Clinical Psychologist. This is an organisation that values both a "clinical heart" and a "commercial head," deeply rooted in supporting the Newcastle and Hunter communities.

About the Role This is a pivotal, permanent leadership position designed for senior clinicians who want to step away from the standard private practice grind and move into clinical governance, high-level mentorship, and strategic influence.

As the clinical cornerstone of a high-functioning team, you will establish teams, develop clinical policies/procedures, and manage complex, high-risk clinical presentations across the lifespan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Supervision: Provide expert supervision, mentorship, and professional development pathways to a growing team of provisional, general, and clinical psychologists tracking toward endorsement.
  • Clinical Governance: Oversee clinical workflows, develop policies, and ensure the highest standards of evidence-based practice while navigating NDIS and AHPRA compliance seamlessly.
  • Transdisciplinary Leadership: Guide a collaborative, non-siloed team through complex case management and trauma-informed care delivery.

What’s on Offer (Package & Perks):

  • Attractive Remuneration: Competitive package commensurate with senior leadership experience.
  • NFP Salary Packaging: Take advantage of generous tax benefits that significantly increase your take-home pay.
  • Administrative Freedom: A dedicated internal support team handles day-to-day scheduling and billing logistics, leaving you free to focus entirely on clinical excellence.
  • Additional Paid Leave: Unique wellbeing perks, including extra paid days off over the Christmas and New Year period to fully recharge.
  • Relocation Assistance: Financial and structural relocation support is available for the right interstate or regional candidate looking to embrace the Hunter lifestyle.
  • Stability & Progression: A secure, permanent role offering long-term career progression and genuine ecosystem influence.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Registration: Full, current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist
  • Supervisor Status: Fully qualified AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisor (or eligible to register immediately).
  • Clinical Frameworks: A deep, lived understanding of trauma-informed care and transdisciplinary service delivery.
  • Leadership Background: Prior experience in clinical governance, staff supervision, or youth/educational mental health is highly regarded.

Note: While our immediate priority is a Clinical Lead, our ecosystem is growing. We also encourage applications from Mid-Career Psychologists who are tired of working in a clinical silo and want a more dynamic, hands-on environment.
