In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain the enterprise data warehouse, data marts, and BI data systems that support business decision-making and strategic initiatives. You will build reliable, scalable data solutions, improve efficiency through automation and innovation, and help ensure the quality, integrity, and performance of our data platforms. Establish standards and best practices for data modeling, transformation, and system design. Drive Platform Performance & Reliability Ensure high availability and performance of data systems through optimization, monitoring, and operational excellence. Oversee pipeline reliability, database performance, and production readiness for mission-critical workloads. Lead Data Strategy & Integration Partner with business and IT stakeholders to align data architecture with organizational goals. Drive integration of data systems and ensure consistency, accessibility, and usability of enterprise data. Advance Innovation & Technical Leadership Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and emerging technologies. Provide mentorship and technical leadership to the data engineering team, fostering continuous improvement and engineering excellence. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support mission-critical analytics in production. What we are looking for Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) 8+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics roles 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and Python, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines 5+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS preferred: S3, Lambda, Athena, Aurora, Glue, Redshift) Strong expertise in relational data modeling, database design, and performance optimization (PostgreSQL preferred) Experience mentoring and developing engineers, fostering best practices, code quality, and a culture of continuous improvement. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions Ability to influence architectural decisions and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and business teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Airflow or Dagster, and CI/CD pipelines Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architectures and data platforms Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps best practices Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and observability tools This employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position (ex: H-1B, F-1/CPT/OPT, O-1, E-3, TN, J, etc.). The expected salary range for a Lead Data Engineer is $150,000 - $170,000 per year. We will also consider a Mid to Senior level Data Engineer. The pay range for the Mid to Senior level is $110,000 - $150,000 annually.
