Position Summary
Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Lead Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client, an aerospace and defense manufacturer of ruggedized electronics for ordnance applications. The lead engineer owns analog and digital design work, leads test and failure investigation activities across the product development cycle, and serves as the primary technical interface to internal and external customers. The position works a 4/10 schedule (four 10-hour days per week) and relocation assistance is available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analog and digital design of ruggedized electronics for ordnance applications.
- Carry out circuit tolerance analyses using hand calculations and Spice tools.
- Develop, refine and verify compliance with product requirements.
- Generate test plans and test reports, including brassboard, design verification, qualification and firing property testing.
- Lead and direct test activities in all phases of product development.
- Lead failure investigations using structured tools such as 8D, fishbone and cause-and-effect analysis.
- Prepare material for and lead design reviews in all phases of development.
- Act as the primary technical interface to internal and external customers.
- Provide inputs and labor estimates for requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Generate engineering orders (EOs) and engineering change proposals (ECPs).
- Mentor electrical engineering staff and lead multiple projects at the same time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7 years of experience.
- 5+ years designing with analog building blocks such as differential amplifiers, op amps, LDOs, filters and data converters.
- 5+ years designing with digital building blocks such as logic gates, flip flops, timers and filters.
- 4+ years with power conversion concepts (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC; linear and switching supplies).
- 5+ years troubleshooting with standard lab equipment.
- 4+ years with schematic capture and board layout utilities such as Altium or PADS.
- 4+ years leading large-scale technical projects with minimal guidance.
- 4+ years preparing and leading design reviews and creating technical documentation.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
