Lead Hand Installer - Overhead Doors

Door Doctor is looking for a Lead Hand Installer who takes pride in their craft and is ready to lead from the front. In this role, you’ll be hands-on - installing, removing, and testing critical dock and door equipment - while ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. You’ll play a key role in delivering reliable solutions that keep our customers’ operations moving. Not located in Ottawa? Relocation assistance available for experienced technicians willing to relocate Responsibilities: Lead the installation of: Overhead doors, rolling steel and high-speed doors and dock equipment including truck restraints, shelters, and seals Safely remove and replace existing equipment Conduct thorough testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability Complete all documentation accurately and on time Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites Manage tools and equipment - ensuring everything is inspected, maintained, and ready to go Keep your service vehicle clean and professional Champion safety by following all company policies and procedures Requirements: 2+ years of experience as a Lead Installer in the dock & door industry Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems Confidence using tools, power equipment, and diagnostic instruments Solid understanding of safety practices and preventive maintenance Strong communication skills—you know how to work with customers and your team A self-starter mindset with a positive, team-first attitude Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments Valid driver’s license in good standing What's in it for you?
