Lead Investment AI Engineer

Location: Dubai, UAE (Fully covered relocation if applicable)

Reporting to: Director of Research

The Opportunity

This newly created role sits at the centre of a fundamental investment firm's commitment to build an AI-first investment platform. You'll work directly alongside senior investors, embedding within the investment process to identify, build and deploy AI capabilities that materially enhance research and decision-making.

This is not a peripheral technology role. The mandate is straightforward: augment the investor. You will combine deep engineering capability with financial markets understanding to redesign investment workflows using frontier AI. The objective is making analysts and investment leadership significantly more effective while preserving the judgment and conviction at the heart of the firm's investment philosophy.

What You'll Do

• Embed within the investment team and develop genuine understanding of their research process, investment philosophy and daily workflows
• Partner with senior investors to identify where AI can improve productivity and decision-making across the full investment lifecycle
• Design, build and deploy AI-powered tools, agents and workflows directly into the investment workflow
• Rapidly prototype ideas with investors, then engineer successful concepts into robust internal products

What We're Looking For

• 7-10 years of experience with strong software engineering fundamentals and deep applied AI expertise
• Proven ability to design and deliver sophisticated systems while remaining hands-on and adaptable
• Python proficiency, strong grasp of LLMs and agentic AI, and experience with RAG and information retrieval
• Meaningful exposure to financial markets, investing or trading environments with genuine interest in fundamental investing
