Lead Python Developer

We are looking for a Lead Python Developer to join a modern, lean, and self-governing engineering team, working alongside world-class engineers, architects, and product managers to build a scalable, high-performance platform leveraged by external customers to create paradigm-shifting applications and solutions. This role includes direct daily communication with stakeholders located in the USA, EU, and India, offering valuable experience working in a highly distributed, customer-facing team.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with clients on a daily basis to collect and analyze business needs
• Create necessary documentation, including PRDs, test cases, and design docs
• Work as the sole developer on an application from idea to ready product
• Build and maintain a scalable, high-performance platform used by external customers
• Deliver on time with quality while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Contribute to a transparent, trust-based engineering culture
• Question the status quo and seek individual mastery while encouraging autonomy
• Apply cloud technologies and microservices architecture to platform development
• Ensure application security throughout the development lifecycle
• Support information management, data modeling, and system integration efforts
• Perform unit testing and follow established development methodologies

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience implementing and integrating with 3rd party software through full system implementation life-cycles (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support)
• Expertise in Python
• Understanding of application security
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Strong self-management and prioritization skills
• Capability to work in an agile environment without direct supervision
• Solid understanding of information management, data modeling, system integration, and development methodologies, including unit testing
• Excellent English communication skills and experience in client-facing communications
