We are an AAHA-accredited animal hospital supporting more than 100 general practices, and one of the largest and busiest standalone emergency hospitals in Western Canada. Mentor, coach, and support Veterinary Technicians to encourage professional growth, confidence, and clinical excellence Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary hospital environment Partner with hospital leadership to improve workflows, efficiency, and patient outcomes Support team members during complex, critical, and high-stress cases Help foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture Assist with onboarding, training, and development initiatives for Veterinary Technicians Contribute to scheduling support and team performance initiatives Serve as a clinical role model by demonstrating advanced technical skills and patient advocacy Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and clients to ensure seamless patient care Qualifications Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentorship experience preferred Strong emergency, critical care, or specialty medicine experience preferred Positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to motivate and support team members Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm, focused, and supportive in a fast-paced environment Passion for patient care, professional development, and continuous learning Fluent English speaking and reading skills required Schedule 3 to 4 shifts of 8 to 10 hours per week One weekend shift per month required Rotating schedule including some statutory holidays Compensation & Benefits Pay: $32–45/hr based on experience $4 shift differential for evening and overnight hours Bonuses: Relocation assistance may be available for full-time candidates Benefits: Extended health, dental, and vision coverage RRSP matching program Annual health and wellness allowance Employee Assistance Program Continuing education allowance plus paid conference days Paid licensing and membership dues Paid vacation and sick days Uniform allowance Generous staff discounts on services, products, and pet facilities Company events and a fun team atmosphere About Ethos: Ethos Veterinary Health is at the forefront of innovation and world-class medicine.
