School of Public Health Part-time (60% FTE), fixed-term position through to November 2027. Base salary will be in the range $119,462 - $141,545 + 17% super (Academic Level B) Based at our Herston Campus About This Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Focused Lecturer to contribute to high-quality teaching and learning within the School of Public Health. You will play a key role in delivering Public Health Nutrition education, leading course coordination, and contributing to innovative, evidence-based curriculum design in a collaborative and inclusive academic environment. Key responsibilities will include: Teach across different settings and develop evidence-based, innovative curriculum design and pedagogy including online learning and blended teaching methods and resources. Coordinate courses, prepare and deliver lectures and tutorials, and design effective assessment and undertake marking across undergraduate and postgraduate Public Health Nutrition offerings. Contribute to the development of new programs and course materials in consultation with stakeholders to ensure courses remain contemporary, relevant, and engaging. Engage in educational collaborations to enhance teaching quality and contribute to continuous improvement of the School’s teaching practices. This is a teaching focused position. Further information can be found by viewing UQ’s Criteria for Academic Performance . About You Completion of a PhD in Public Health Nutrition or a closely related discipline. Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality university teaching across diverse learning environments. Experience in course coordination and curriculum development at program and/or course level. An emerging profile of teaching impact and/or education research within the discipline. Evidence of participation in initiatives that enhance curriculum, pedagogy, or assessment practices. Experience supporting or supervising students, including Honours or Higher Degree by Research candidates. Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to contribute expertise that complements existing strengths within the School.
