The Expert Network Services (ENS) industry connects our clients (consulting and investment firms) with specialized insights from top experts. With a strong focus on the Asia-Pacific region, our team is fluent in the languages ​​​​​​​​across the area and has unmatched recruitment capabilities to find experts from any industry or niche.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Arches is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Manager to join our global team. In the fast-paced expert network industry, navigating complex regulatory, contractual, and compliance requirements is essential to our operations.
The Legal Manager will support Arches by managing a broad portfolio of commercial contracts, monitoring regulatory developments, supporting compliance matters, and serving as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience working within an expert network firm or a related financial services, consulting, or professional services organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contract Lifecycle Management: Draft, review, and negotiate client, vendor, and other commercial agreements, including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and related contracts.
• Regulatory & Compliance Monitoring: Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the expert network industry, including data protection and privacy laws, Material Non-Public Information (MNPI) and securities laws, anti-bribery requirements, sanctions, and other cross-border regulatory matters. Recommend updates to internal documentation, policies, and processes where necessary.
• Legal Inquiries & Disputes: Assist with legal notices, disputes, regulatory inquiries, and investigations, including fact-finding, evidence gathering, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for legal and compliance inquiries from internal teams and external clients. Participate in client calls and support discussions regarding compliance frameworks, contractual obligations, and risk management.
• Operational Support: Provide practical, commercially focused legal guidance to operational and business teams while helping ensure consistent service delivery and effective risk mitigation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Law degree required (LLB, JD, or equivalent qualification); an LLM or other postgraduate law degree is preferred.
• 9-10 years of experience in a corporate or commercial legal role. Ideally, prior experience working within an expert network firm.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Understanding of data protection and privacy laws, corporate compliance frameworks, MNPI, securities laws, and other regulatory risks relevant to expert networks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to legal and non-legal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a global environment.
• Professional fluency in English.
