About the Role

DCS Engineering is currently recruiting for experienced and highly motivated B1.3 or B2 Licensed Engineers to support rotary-wing maintenance operations across our locations at Oxford Airport, Shawbury and Valley.

Contract engineers are also encouraged to apply for opportunities at Shawbury. Please note that contract positions at Shawbury are available to suitably experienced engineers who hold the relevant type rating(s).

We are happy to consider candidates with a blank licence for permanent positions and can offer type-rating training for the right individual.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance and operational readiness across multiple rotary-wing programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with UK CAA regulations, Part 145 procedures and company requirements.
• Perform inspections, fault diagnosis, repairs, modifications and component replacements across airframe, engine, transmission and associated aircraft systems.
• Certify completed maintenance in accordance with applicable Part 145 approvals and ensure all technical records and documentation are completed accurately.
• Conduct troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical and avionics systems, including LRU replacement and testing.
• Supervise and support maintenance technicians and fitters, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.
• Support aircraft movements, hangar operations, tool control and general engineering housekeeping.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring aircraft availability and operational reliability.
• Liaise effectively with customers, flight operations and engineering management.
• Support operational requirements both within the UK and overseas when required.

Candidate Requirements

• UK CAA Part-66 B1.3 or B2 Licence.
• Strong technical knowledge of rotary-wing airframe and engine systems.
• Good working knowledge of UK CAA regulatory requirements, including Part 145, Part M and the UK Air Navigation Order.
• Previous rotary-wing maintenance experience.
• For Shawbury contract positions: relevant and current type rating(s) are essential.
• Type ratings on Airbus Helicopters platforms would be advantageous for permanent positions, although type training may be provided for the right candidate.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team-based maintenance environment.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive and professional approach to engineering support.
• Eligible to obtain DBS and SC Security Clearance.
• Flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas when operationally required.
