Job Description

This position exists to provide direct and indirect general patient care in the college setting. The primary goals of Student Health Services are to promote the optimal health of students on the college campus and to aid students and advocate for their primary health and wellness needs to increase student success.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Current licensure in Minnesota as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Experience sufficient to perform practical nursing duties in the care of clinic patients.

Preferred Qualification

  • Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Medical Clinic experience

Other Requirements

The University may be able to provide employment visa sponsorship for qualified candidates, subject to USCIS guidelines and eligibility requirements.

Work Shift (Hours/Days of work)

The academic year working days and hours for this position will be Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The summer working days and hours will be Tuesday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Working days and hours during breaks (holiday, spring, summer) will be reduced and variable based on department need.


Telework (Yes/No)

Yes - Up to 5% of the time. Based on the essential functions of this positions, MMB Policy #1422, and University policies relating to flexible work, this position is eligible for the following work modes:


  • Case by Case/Situational Telework: A position that may include a temporary reassignment or work outside the permanent/principal work location to meet short-term needs.
