Maintenance Controller (MCC) Denver, CO | Full-Time | Shift varies based on business needs Pay: $52.00/hour | Relocation assistance available Posting expires on or before 9/28/26 Keep the fleet moving When a maintenance issue affects an aircraft, every minute and every decision matter. As a Maintenance Controller (MCC) at Frontier Airlines, you’ll manage real-time maintenance operations and serve as a primary point of contact for aircraft out-of-service events and fleet mechanical status. Working across Maintenance, Material Services, Technical Support, Engineering, the System Operations Center (SOC) and maintenance vendors, you’ll coordinate recovery efforts that support safe, compliant and reliable operations while helping reduce aircraft downtime and schedule impact. This position reports to the Senior Manager MCC / Maintenance Planning, Technical Services. What you’ll need to qualify Required qualifications: Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License Working knowledge of airline maintenance practices, FARs and Frontier General Maintenance Manual policies and procedures One of the following experience combinations: 5 years of Line Maintenance experience, or 2 years of C-Check experience and 2 years of avionics troubleshooting experience Excellent Airbus systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Engineering, Maintenance, Purchasing, Flight Operations Management, flight crews and Dispatch Ability to plan, organize and administer workloads to subordinates Demonstrated behaviors aligned with Frontier core values: Safety, Respect, Trust, Collaboration, Value and Passion Ability to attend and successfully complete the Maintenance Training Required Inspection Item course Support for work, life and travel Frontier offers benefits, programs and travel privileges designed to support eligible employees at work and beyond. Manage maintenance operations on a shift basis and maintain positive operational control and situational awareness of out-of-service aircraft Serve as a primary contact for aircraft out-of-service events and fleet mechanical status Coordinate aircraft recovery efforts across Maintenance, Material Services, Technical Support, Engineering and SOC Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel on technical, operational and procedural matters Authorize MEL/CDL deferrals in accordance with Frontier procedures Develop work scopes for MEL/CDL deferrals, including troubleshooting recommendations and required material requests Authorize maintenance vendors for emergency maintenance and ferry flight inspections at non-maintenance stations Advise SOC personnel when aircraft routing must support specific maintenance requirements Exercise authority to remove an aircraft from service when maintenance work has not been satisfactorily completed Be directly in charge, under 121.378(b), of maintenance activities performed by contract maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with Frontier General Maintenance Manual policies and procedures Ensure safety remains the paramount consideration in maintenance-related decisions Generate required operational reports and maintain shift documentation and turnover information Proactively manage deferrals that impact customer service Perform other duties assigned by the M.O.D. or Senior Manager of the Department Why this role matters Maintenance Control sits at the intersection of technical expertise and airline operations.
