Hourly wage for this position starts at $25.50 per hour up to $35.50 per hour depending on experience. Responsibilities Maintenance Electrician responsibilities include but are not limited to: Trouble-shooting, Repairing and Replacing electrical components Dismantling and removing electrical cables and wiring Install new equipment Running of electrical conduit Understand and comply with all safety and electrical codes Other duties as assigned This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position. Qualifications Qualified candidates for the Maintenance Electrician position should possess the following: Able to read blueprints Previous electrical experience – preferably in an industrial setting Able to drive a forklift or willing to undertake forklift training Able to work outside in all weather Able to lift up to 75-100 pounds Able to read and write Able to use basic mathematics Able to stand/walk on concrete/stairs for duration of shift Able to pass mechanical aptitude test Able to use ladders Able to use lift trucks (i.e. – Snorkel Lift / bucket lift) Able to use various hand tools and power tools Able to work with a group or unsupervised Ability to work various shifts and ‘on-call’ as needed Requirements: Preferred Block Certified or Journeyman Electrician Use 2-way radios Wear task-specific Personal Protective Equipment Comply with all safe work practices and procedures Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times Qualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.
