Under the Sioux Lookout Area Primary Care Team, the Manager - Clinical is responsible for the overall clinical leadership and management of the Pods and administrative team. The Manager - Clinical will work alongside a team of Allied Health Professionals, management, administrative staff, caregivers and community resources to ensure high quality and timely health services using culturally appropriate practices and best practice standards of care. The Primary Care team provides services to all ages within the Sioux Lookout Catchment area, including the 33 First Nations communities.
The Manager – Clinical is accountable to the Director - Primary Care Team.
2026 Annual Salary Range: $100,916 - 147,370

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Allied Health related field is required.
- Registered and in good standing with a Professional College of Ontario.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working as an Allied Health Professional.
- Minimum of two years of leadership and management experience.
- Experience, knowledge, and awareness of the social complexities of Northern and remote First Nations and First Nation ways of learning, traditions, cultures, values, health systems and intergenerational impacts of government policies.
- Experience in people management, program development, governance, budget, resource management, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders, internal and external to the organization to achieve successful outcomes through excellent relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing budgets and fulfilling reporting requirements to funders
- Experience with electronic medical records, health information databases and strong computer skills.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must be willing to relocate and live in Sioux Lookout (or within a daily commuting distance).
- Persons of First Nations ancestry will be given preference (OHRC, Part II, Special Employment)
- Ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects of the Sioux Lookout region is an asset.
- Ability to perform the requirements of the role on a regular basis
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversees the performance management, recruitment and retention of employees.
- Collaborates with the Director of the SLAPCT and Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire and employ staff.
- Ensures employees are adequately trained to fulfill the duties and responsibilities related to their positions.
- Provides supervision, guidance and supports Allied Health Care workers and administrative staff.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.
- Monitors/evaluates work plans and operating budgets.
- Development of annual work plans and reports that align with the annual organizational objectives.
- Coordinate the ongoing promotion of the Primary Care Team (ie. Memos, Briefing Notes, Organizational and Government reports, etc).
- Ability to manage staff and workloads in a fast paced and every changing environment.
- Liaise with leadership, frontline workers, health care providers and other service workers in communities to collaboratively strategize means to tackle priority issues related to Primary Health Care.
- In collaboration with the Director of SLAPCT and other health professionals, will develop regional policies, objectives, educational material and best practices for Primary Care.
- Program development and promotion.
- Provide assistance when required and any other duties assigned.
Working Conditions
