Job Summary: The Large Power Systems Division currently has an opening for a Manager-Engineering for the Core Component Heads, Blocks and Housings Components team. You will lead a team of engineers to develop, validate and maintain components and technologies aligned to New Product Introduction (NPI), New Technology Introduction (NTI), Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) and New Source Introduction (NSI) programs. Additionally, you will provide leadership to drive collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Supply Chain process. Responsibilities: Leadership and development of global design engineering team. Onsite engineering leadership and support for manufacturing facility Delivering NPI, NTI, NSI, CPI, and Cost Reduction programs to time, cost, and quality targets Refining and progressing component and technology strategies for design control Active engagement with the Supplier Development and Purchasing teams to develop and manage sourcing strategies and supplier capability to meet quality and cost targets Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline. Advanced English Skills: Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Translates business goals into short- and medium-term plans. Anticipates changes and adjusts plans accordingly. Tracks performance against plans and milestones. Effective Communications: Provides clear, constructive feedback. Uses feedback to improve communication. Delivery effective presentations and concise reports. Problem Solving: Defines complex problems, causes, constraints, and solutions. Considers stakeholder, operational, and business impacts. Assesses information for accuracy, completeness, and relevance. Technical Excellence: Guides to the evaluation and implementation of technical solutions. Engage experts and resources to resolve complex issues. Mentor’s engineers to strengthen technical capability. Customer/Market Focus: Identifies emerging, unmet, and unexpressed customer needs through proactive engagement and analysis. Aligns product and service features with the customer’s critical success factors and business requirements. Establishes consistent processes to ensure responsiveness and effective management of customer expectations. Managing People: Determines the time, capabilities, and resources required to complete work and delegates responsibilities appropriately. Connects team objectives to organizational goals and builds a clear, shared vision for success. Reviews employee performance and progress regularly, removes barriers, and addresses issues that may limit development. Project Management: Applies established tools and methods to estimate project scope, cost, resources, and schedule. Plans, estimates, staff, organizes, and monitors significant engineering projects and programs. Identifies risks, dependencies, and vulnerabilities and develops effective mitigation and contingency plans. Product Design and Development: Establishes organizational standards and processes that improve the efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of complex products and service development. Introduces methods, tools, and technologies that accelerate and simplify the development process. Oversees the development and lifecycle management of multiple, diverse products or services. Top Candidates also have: Master´s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical or related. Certification in Project Management Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt) Additional Information: Location: Cienega de Flores, Nuevo Leon. This position is five-day a week in-office model.
