CORONADO GLOBAL RESOURCES is a leading international producer of high-quality Metallurgical Coal. Our global operations are located in two of the world's largest and most productive metallurgical coal basins, the Bowen Basin in Queensland and the Central Appalachian region of the US.

At Coronado, we believe our people are our greatest asset. With approximately 20 years of mine life remaining at Curragh, we offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as we continue to grow and evolve.

About the Role

As Manager Human Resources, you'll lead the people and industrial relations agenda across the Curragh Complex at a critical time for the business. This senior role oversees the HR, site accommodation and administration teams, and balances sound commercial outcomes with a fair, values-based and high-performing culture.

In this role you will:

  • Lead enterprise bargaining end to end, from strategy and cost modelling through union negotiation, Fair Work Commission approval and implementation
  • Manage complex workplace and industrial issues, including disputes, investigations and discipline processes
  • Lead the people side of organisational change and cost-improvement initiatives, including consultation arrangements
  • Lead and develop the HR team, and champion performance, succession and leadership development to build capability
  • Oversee site accommodation and administration services
  • Partner with site and corporate leaders, to align people strategy with business priorities

About You

We’re seeking a hands-on, commercially astute HR leader who thrives in a demanding operating environment.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise agreement negotiations, ideally in a unionised mining, resources or heavy industry environment
  • Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, enterprise agreements and awards
  • Proven experience leading an HR function and guiding a business through significant change
  • The ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across multiple levels
  • Resilience and sound judgement under pressure, with a genuine commitment to a positive workplace culture
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Law or a related discipline
