What a Tuesday looks like in this job.

7:00 am. A machining line went down overnight. You're on the floor with the technicians, in TIA Portal, chasing a Profisafe fault. You find it, fix it, and write up what happened so it doesn't repeat.

9:30 am. A supplier is on-site commissioning new equipment. You check their work against the plant's electrical and automation standards and push back on documentation that isn't complete.

1:00 pm. Capital project review with plant management. You own the budget and the schedule, and you give them a straight update.

3:00 pm. A newer engineer is stuck on a FANUC robot and Cognex vision setup. You sit with them and work through it.

If that sounds like a good day, a large global manufacturer's machining and assembly plant in Northeast Mississippi is hiring a Manufacturing Controls Engineer.

You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 7+ years in automation (manufacturing preferred), deep Siemens PLC and TIA Portal experience, Profibus, Profisafe, Safety Integrated and ASI-Bus, and the ability to create and read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. FANUC, Cognex and Atlas Copco experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge of electrical codes and AutoCAD helps.
