We are mandated with a well-established Chemical Manufacturer in the hiring a Director of Manufacturing to lead pilot plant operations within its global product technology organization. In this role, you’ll be the critical link between laboratory innovation and full-scale commercial manufacturing. You’ll own the safe, disciplined scale-up of new chemistry and build the team that makes it happen.

What you’ll do

• Lead day-to-day pilot plant operations with an uncompromising focus on safety, reliability and operational excellence
• Direct process engineering work, including mass and energy balances, equipment sizing and process optimization
• Drive technology transfer of new products and processes into the company’s production facilities
• Oversee production campaigns, trials, maintenance programs and capital projects
• Maintain process documentation, P&IDs, operating procedures and cost estimates for new product projects
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental regulations
• Lead PHAs, MOCs, PSSRs and incident investigations
• Recruit, develop and lead a team of engineers, technicians and manufacturing professionals

What you bring

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
• 10+ years managing across Chemical Manufacturing
• Proven process engineering and scale-up experience
• 5+ years leading technical and operations teams
• Deep knowledge of process safety and hazard analysis
• Working knowledge of FIFRA, TSCA and RCRA
