Market Operations Analyst

How you will make an Impact

• Executing and approving the Day-Ahead Market.
• Monitoring and finalizing Real-Time Energy Market Locational Marginal Prices (LMPs), Reserve Market Clearing Prices (RMCPs), and Regulation Clearing Prices (RCPs).
• Carrying out complex pre- and post-production market and system operations analysis
• Actively participating in process improvement
• Developing, testing and delivering market process or software changes

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Math, Science, or other relevant areas.
• Ability to work independently, use good judgment, and manage priorities effectively while meeting production deadlines
• Experience providing exceptional customer service and working successfully in a team environment
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and advanced report writing and presentation skills
• Proficiency with MS Excel and/or Access
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend coverage
• We are open to the following levels, based on experience in systems, transmission reliability, and/or market operations:
• Assistant Analyst: 0+ years of experience or knowledge
• Associate Analyst: 1+ years of industry experience
• Analyst: 4+ years of industry experience
• Senior Analyst: 6+ years of industry experience

The expected salary range for an Assistant Analyst through Analyst is $78,000 - $112,000 per year. We will also consider a Senior Analyst and the pay range for that level is $107,000 - $120,000 annually.
