Job Description This Japanese, Tokyo based, general contractor specializes in federal, military, and civil construction projects primarily working on U.S. Government owned facilities in Japan. A uniquely positioned company they are experiencing rapid growth and recruiting U.S. nationals to be based on multi-year year contracts in Japan, or Japanese islands in the South China Sea. The initial project will see you working on a fuel handling infrastructure system located in Okinawa, Japan. Reporting to a Project Manager, you will help support the installation of fuel piping and associated mechanical equipment, performing and documenting QC inspections, and supporting testing and commissioning through turnover to the Government. The position works closely with the Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, subcontractors, and Government representatives. This is a unique and rare opportunity for someone to gain an international cultural experience whilst working on a major project working to U.S. standards. A longer-term career opportunity is available in addition to the initial project. Requirements - Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and have not been declined a Japanese visa, or other international visa previously - Minimum 1-3 year commitment - Willing to relocate to Japan - THIS IS NOT REMOTE - You must have mechanical construction or pipeline project experience - You must have completed a Mechanical Engineering Degree - You will need to be able to relocate and commence employment by November 2026 Please review the following: Employment Status: These are local employee roles based in Japan.
