Cone Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Medical Oncologist to join our growing oncology program in North Carolina. This opportunity offers the ability to provide comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care within a collaborative health system committed to clinical excellence, multidisciplinary care, and improving access to oncology services throughout the communities we serve. Position Highlights

The Medical Oncologist will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with cancer and hematologic conditions. The physician will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans and ensure coordinated care throughout the patient's cancer journey.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with solid tumors and hematologic conditions
• Develop evidence-based, individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage systemic cancer therapies
• Coordinate care with surgical, radiation, and other oncology specialists
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor conferences and clinical discussions
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives
• Support the continued development and growth of oncology services
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the cancer care team

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology/Oncology
• Eligible for an unrestricted North Carolina medical license
• Eligible for appropriate medical staff privileges
• Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered cancer care
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• New fellowship graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.
