Remuneration: $83,670 - $144,021 $144021 Per Annum (dependent on qualifications) + 12% Super + Salary Packaging

About The Role
As a Mental Health Clinician with CAMHS, you will be part of a team providing discipline specific mental health assessments, treatment, and care coordination services for children, adolescents, and their families or carers. Working within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate with Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists/Clinical Psychologists in Training, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, a Social Worker and a Dietitian to deliver high-quality, family-centred care. We are eager to increase our number of Occupational Therapists and Social Workers, though this position is open to all disciplines and we welcome all applications.

You are a compassionate person and skilled clinician who is committed to delivering high-quality care to children, adolescents, and families experiencing mental health challenges. You enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment and are motivated to continually develop your clinical knowledge and practice.
You'll be supported by a Team Leader, a Clinical Coordinator, and our Consultant Psychiatrist, alongside a stellar team of allied health staff, nursing staff, and trainee psychiatrists. We are committed to supporting your professional growth through regular clinical supervision, ongoing education, mentoring, and professional development opportunities across the expansive Hunter New England Mental Health Service network.

- Delivering, within the scope of your discipline and expertise, mental health assessments, evidence-based interventions, and case management for children, young people, and their families or carers.

- Applying sound clinical judgement to assessment, formulation, risk management, and treatment planning.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional, legal, ethical, and organisational standards.
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of CAMHS services.
- Managing a clinical caseload with an appropriate level of autonomy while accessing support and supervision as required.

Essential Requirements
- Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Clin Psychology/Clin Psych in Training, Nursing, Social Work, or Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental health, Djirruwang Program), which provides eligibility or membership with the relevant professional association (e.g. Australian Association Social Work, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Applicants must have at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification, OR possess such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the service (e.g. psychology students having completed or enrolled in a Master of Clinical Psychology).
- Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and the willingness to travel in the course of employment.
- An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part time vacancies.
