Mid-Level Design Engineer

About the Role

Join a small product team at a cloud infrastructure SaaS company, building interfaces that help developers deploy and manage applications in their own cloud environments. You will combine design sensibility with hands-on frontend engineering to make complex workflows clear, polished, and easy to use.

What You'll Do

• Refine information architecture and core product flows across a developer-focused platform.

• Build and ship polished production interfaces using React and TypeScript.

• Improve micro-interactions, visual details, loading states, and other elements of frontend craft.

• Collaborate with product and frontend teammates through implementation and design reviews.

• Develop reusable components and interface patterns that support a consistent product experience.

What We're Looking For

• Two to five years of experience as a frontend or design engineer building SaaS interfaces.

• Production-grade frontend experience with React and TypeScript, with most of your work focused on shipping code.

• A portfolio or work samples that demonstrate strong visual craft, attention to detail, and thoughtful micro-interactions.

• Experience with dense SaaS or developer tools interfaces, including complex dashboards with tables and forms.

• Experience working in a design-forward environment and using Figma, along with an interest in systems and reusable patterns.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $220,000 to $280,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site in New York, New York, United States, five days per week.
