Position Overview
- Combination of first assist surgical duties, perioperative care in the hospital and clinic
- Able to first assist in gynecological surgery, robotics and/or laparoscopic experience preferred
Location & Setting:
- Primary location(s): throughout Charlotte and surrounding Metro area
- Care setting: hybrid - surgical and office based
- Service area / coverage: variety of Atrium Health facilities around Charlotte depending on surgical needs
Schedule & Call Expectations:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Call requirements: eventually will be on call rotation which will include weekends.
- Flexibility details (if applicable): 4 – 5-day work week depending on OR coverage needs
- FTE/Hours per Week: 40 hours / week
Scope of Practice/What You’ll Do:
- First assist in advanced pelvic surgery
- Clinic for pre-ops, post ops, new patients
- Collaborate with a variety of surgeons and APPs in a gynecologic specialty
Team & Support Structure
- Established practice with a team of 4 Physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers
- Collaboration model
- Onboarding/training support by APPs and MDs

Qualifications
- 1+ years of surgical APP experience preferred
- Graduation from an accredited PA or NP program. Must be approved to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS for healthcare provider from AHA required.
- Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
- NC license required
