NDT Level III

Location: Nashville, TN

Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift | Onsite

Compensation: $120,000–$130,000 base salary

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced NAS 410 NDT Level III in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/FPI) to take technical ownership of an established nondestructive testing program within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

This is not a traditional Quality Engineer position. The primary need is an experienced NDT Level III who can provide technical oversight of Liquid Penetrant inspection, maintain compliance with NAS 410 requirements, oversee personnel training and qualification, support audits, and ensure the existing NDT program continues operating effectively.

The program and processes are already established. This individual will take ownership of the existing program, maintain compliance, and identify opportunities for continued improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical NDT Level III authority for Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/FPI).
• Maintain and oversee the organization's established NDT certification and qualification program.
• Ensure continued compliance with NAS 410, applicable NDT procedures, and customer requirements.
• Develop, review, approve, and maintain NDT procedures, process documentation, and training materials.
• Train, evaluate, and qualify NDT inspection personnel.
• Administer required written, practical, and visual acuity examinations.
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready personnel certification and qualification records.
• Support internal audits and applicable NADCAP requirements.
• Review NDT process plans and ensure proper inspection sequencing.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to Level I and Level II inspection personnel.
• Coordinate with approved outside NDT agencies as necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement within the existing NDT program.

Required Qualifications

• Current NAS 410 Level III qualification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/FPI).
• Ability to provide documented, auditable records supporting current NAS 410 Level III qualification.
• Strong working knowledge of Liquid Penetrant inspection methods, procedures, training, and personnel qualification.
• Experience providing Level III technical oversight within a regulated manufacturing or inspection environment.
