G80 Internal Medicine/Vascular Surgery Unit is a 34-bed specialty unit that provides comprehensive care for patients requiring internal medicine, telemetry, and vascular surgery services. Our team delivers expert care to adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, respiratory diseases, heart failure, and other complex health concerns. In addition to internal medicine services, G80 specializes in the care of patients with vascular disorders requiring advanced medical and surgical management. Vascular surgical nursing is a dynamic and highly specialized field, caring for patients with acute and chronic vascular diseases as well as those undergoing procedures such as vascular bypass surgery, endovascular interventions, and other vascular treatments. The unit also provides comprehensive post-operative care, monitoring, and recovery support to optimize patient outcomes. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and a patient-centered approach, G80 is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care that promotes healing, recovery, and long-term health management.
As an RN Resident, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional care, from initial introduction to discharge. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. All the while, you will continue growing as an RN and gaining extensive hands-on experience in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving healthcare setting.

A caregiver in this position works nights 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Document in patients’ medical records
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
- New grad or less than one year RN work experience or if experience RN moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one year current acute direct patient care RN experience.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
