Position overview

This opportunity in Hannover is open to nurses, doctors, and healthcare professionals living outside Germany who want to build a career in the German long-term care and nursing (Pflege) sector. A care home is accepting applications from qualified international candidates, including those whose qualifications have not yet been officially recognised (subject to individual assessment). Applicants must have German at B1 minimum. A €3,000 service package covers visa process support; visa approval is subject to German authorities and cannot be guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily care and support to residents.
• Assisting residents with their personal and everyday needs.
• Monitoring residents' health and reporting any noticeable changes.
• Working closely with doctors, nurses, and the wider care team.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care activities and observations.
• Following hygiene, safety, and infection-control standards.
• Treating elderly residents with respect, patience, dignity, and professionalism.
• Providing emotional and social support to residents.
• Following the care home's policies, procedures, and applicable German regulations.

Must Have

• Currently residing outside Germany.
• Qualification or experience in nursing, medicine, or healthcare.
• German language certificate at B1 minimum.
• Valid passport.
• Willingness to work in the Pflege (long-term care) sector.
• CV, professional/academic qualifications, and employment certificates (if available).
