Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager II – Operating Room to lead clinical operations, patient care delivery, staff performance, and administrative functions within a 24/7 acute care hospital Main OR.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop nursing staff and leadership teams.
- Oversee OR patient care delivery, staffing, workflows, and resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, Nursing Practice Act, and state/federal regulations.
- Manage departmental budgets and operational performance.
- Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive staff development, training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support strategic planning, emergency preparedness, and operational projects.
- Use data and performance metrics to improve clinical and operational outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- BSN – Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Active California RN License
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 5 years of Main OR experience in an acute care hospital required experience
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare operations/clinical experience
- Minimum 4 years of leadership experience
- Hospital/healthcare system experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- MSN preferred
- CNOR preferred
- Operating Room/procedural specialty experience
- Experience with change management, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration
