As an Occupational Therapist, you will work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support clients in achieving and maintaining optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will help promote functional independence through assessment, treatment planning, consultation, equipment prescription, education, and rehabilitation services.
What You'll Do
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions for long-term care clients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Recommend and prescribe adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Educate clients, caregivers, and staff to support independence and quality of life.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, education, and program development.
- Provide guidance and support to Rehabilitation Assistants within the rehabilitation team.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized Occupational Therapy program.
- Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or the British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
