Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- Full-time, Permanent
- You will be based at Leverndale Hospital
- Working Pattern: Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a defined caseload and deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, interventions and evaluations
- Work collaboratively with patients to develop meaningful goals that maximise independence, recovery and wellbeing
- Deliver evidence-based individual and group interventions tailored to patients' functional and therapeutic needs
- Contribute to multidisciplinary assessments, care planning, risk assessments and discharge planning processes
- Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures in line with professional and organisational standards
- Support the learning and development of students, support staff and colleagues within the clinical environment
- Participate in service development, audit, research and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
- Knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions and their impact on daily functioning and independence
- Experience of delivering person-centred occupational therapy assessment and intervention within a healthcare setting
- Ability to build therapeutic relationships and communicate effectively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding of evidence-based practice, clinical risk assessment and outcome-focused interventions
- Commitment to continuous professional development and delivering compassionate, recovery-focused care
