Operating Manager/Partner

Hospitality and lifestyle business is seeking an Operating Manager/Partner to join their team in Montecito/Ojai area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, including sales, labor, purchasing, inventory, waste, and expenses
• Review weekly P&L
• Build and improve operating systems, processes, and procedures
• Lead the reopening, including menu development, staffing, training, equipment, vendors, merchandising, and soft launch
• Coach and develop shift leaders, revise labor plans, and maintain high standards of service and execution
• Drive growth by increasing revenue, protecting gross margins, and preserving service quality and brand identity
• Build strong relationships with regular customers, vendors, and team members
  
  

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years of experience in premium grocery, specialty markets, cafe and restaurant style dining required
• Experience managing a multi-faceted operation, ideally within an established local market, specialty food business, or restaurant group
• Strong financial and operational acumen, including P&L management, labor planning, inventory control, and cost management
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build systems, solve problems, and lead from the floor
• Proven ability to coach teams, deliver exceptional customer service, and balance day-to-day execution with long-term growth
• Comfortable working in a small-business environment where flexibility, resourcefulness, and personal accountability are essential
• Open to candidates throughout the Santa Barbara, Montecito, Ventura, Oxnard, and greater Los Angeles areas; relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates
